Description
My passion for specializing in anxiety and OCD began during my graduate training when I discovered the therapeutic approach of Exposure Therapy, which I was drawn to because it is both highly effective and also fits my personality. I find great enjoyment in taking an active role in my clients’ journeys toward relieving anxiety, moving out of their comfort zone, and living more fully. I have felt profoundly inspired by the immense bravery and resilience of the anxious clients I treat. I have experience treating anxiety disorders and OCD in college counseling centers, employee assistance programs, and outpatient clinics. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado College, and both my Master’s Degree and Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver, with a specialty focus on behavior therapy, (the form of therapy that includes Exposure Therapy for anxiety disorders). I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Anxiety Solutions of Denver, with extensive training and experience in the treatment of anxiety, OCD, and related problems. My background also includes specialized training and experience with gender-based violence issues and sport psychology. I am originally from the Pacific Northwest. When I am not at the office, you will most likely find me somewhere in the mountains trail running, biking, camping, snowboarding, or hiking with my partner and my rescue pup! I love exploring new places, both within the Reno/Tahoe area and across the globe. I hold the following psychologist licenses in the following states: Nevada #PY0874, California #30420, Colorado #4868.
