Dr. John Paul (J.P.) Crum Claim

I am a licensed psychologist specializing in neuropsychological testing in Reno, Nevada. I was born and raised in Reno. I graduated from UNR with my bachelor’s degree and moved to Phoenix where I completed my doctorate in an APA-accredited program with a specialization in neuropsychology. After meeting my wife, I moved back to Reno to complete my internship and postdoctoral fellowship in cognitive and psychological assessment at UNR. I have more than a decade of experience and training in therapy, neuropsychological and psychological assessments. I have been fortunate to have experience across the lifespan and in a variety of treatment settings including hospitals, school districts, community mental health centers, and private practice. Growing up and witnessing my mother face mental health challenges innately fostered a desire to reach out and help people. After losing my mother to suicide some time ago, I remind myself daily of why I choose to work in this field, which is to help others. I believe in genuinely listening and caring about understanding someone’s world, meeting them where they are at, and walking along side them throughout their journey. I am committed to a holistic, culturally sensitive, and individually tailored practice. I chose this field because I believe people in general deserve to be happy and I am humbled by the fact my job is to help with that.
